Peter Kesterton

Peter Kesterton was born in Manchester, and as an only child found company in books and stories. He moved south to go to Bristol University where he fell in love – with the city. After graduating he landed a job as a technician at the BBC and worked on radio dramas. Not content with simply doing the sound effects, he decided to write his own radio play. Many years and drawers full of rejections later, he got his drama Heads You Win, Tales I Lose broadcast on BBC Radio 4.

He went on to have more plays broadcast and also wrote for the theatre. His play, Painting Snails, was a winner of the 2011 Croydon Warehouse International Playwriting Competition.

Peter has always been a keen reader of psychological and crime thrillers, and secretly wanted to write one himself. So in 2019 he undertook an MA at Bath Spa University to learn how to do it! The novel, to be published by Bloodhound Books in 2023, is the result.

Peter still lives in Bristol, now with his wife Adriane and doesn’t have a cat. He likes to cook, watch bad sci-fi on TV and travel.
