Joe Gardner is an author, songwriter and amateur historian hailing from Old London Town, a city which he has lived in various bits of (though he remains largely in the Victorian era). He has also spent a few years in Reading but promises this was only because he was at University there, acquiring his degree in English Literature and Film.
After self-publishing three literary works, Joe is thrilled to be releasing his debut into the elite genre of horror fiction through Bloodhound Books. He hero-worships Charles Dickens, M.R James, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman and when he grows up he'd quite like to be half as good as any one of them.
Joe's greatest musical achievement to date is the time he very nearly got to play a cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'Go Your Own Way' with Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. But, like his music career in general, it didn't happen.
