Domhnall O'Donoghue

Hailing from Navan, Co. Meath, Domhnall is a travel journalist and writes extensively for the Irish and British media, with work regularly appearing in the Belfast Telegraph and The Sunday Times.

Domhnall has received many prestigious honours for his writing, including Ireland’s Travel Extra Travel Journalist of the Year award in 2024 and 2025. He also recently won a Travel Media Award in London.

Mercier Press published his novels Colin and the Concubine, Crazy for You and The Wonderful Life of Connie Maguire. His début novel, Sister Agatha: the World’s Oldest Serial Killer, was released in 2016.

Domhnall trained as an actor at Trinity College Dublin and appeared as Pádraig in TG4’s award-winning series Ros na Rún.
