About the Author

A career historian, Annie R McEwen has lived in six countries and under every roof from a canvas tent to a Georgian Era manor house, all of which helps her create award-winning romance set in faraway times and places.

Winner of the 2022 Page Turners Award, Genre (Romance) Category, Annie also garnered the First Place 2022 RTTA (Romance Through Ages Award from Romance Writers of America; Post-Victorian to WWI Category), a Second Place 2022 RTTA (Georgian-Victorian Category), the 2023 MAGGIE Award, and the 2023 Daphne du Maurier Award. Her Regency murder mystery, “Death at Dunarven” appears in the 2024 Murder Most International Anthology. Additional awards include multiple Honorable Mentions and/or publication on platforms like Globe Soup, Reedsy, and others. Her short fiction appears in the anthology LOVE WINS (2021, for Ukrainian relief), the RWA Hearts Through History anthology THE EVE OF LOVE (2022), and the 2023 holiday edition of Ignitiveify, a publishing industry magazine. Book One of Annie’s three-book paranormal romance series, Bound, is forthcoming in Spring ’24 from Harbor Lane Books; her Regency Romance novella The Chelsea Milliner awaits a release date from The Wild Rose Press.

Annie’s working file includes a novel of smuggling and romance (in which her third great-grandfather, a 4th Light Dragoon, makes a cameo appearance) set on the Kentish coast in 1749, a Regency Romance about a reluctant bridegroom, and a time travel romantic suspense set in 1912 Boston, New Orleans, and Wales.

When she’s not in her 1920s bungalow in Florida, Annie writes, blogs, and explores castles in Wales.
