Wayne Hewitt
Wayne Hewitt is the author of the Shell Cove Mysteries, a cosy crime series set in the fictional seaside village of Shell Cove, where hidden secrets, close-knit communities, and unexpected twists are never far beneath the surface.
Growing up, Wayne was a fairly typical boy who preferred being outdoors to having his head buried in a book. While reading wasn't a passion in his younger years, writing always was. He enjoyed creating stories and letting his imagination take over, a hobby that eventually grew into a love of crafting mysteries that keep readers guessing until the very end.
Alongside writing, Wayne works as a UX designer, a career built around understanding people, their behaviours, and the decisions they make. That fascination with human psychology has become one of the biggest influences on his fiction. Rather than relying on impossible plots or unbelievable villains, he enjoys creating characters whose motives, relationships, and choices feel authentic—because people are often the greatest mystery of all.
Wayne is also an avid fan of crime films and television and has a habit of working out the killer or the twist before the final reveal. That love of unravelling puzzles has shaped his own writing, where carefully placed clues, believable suspects, and satisfying conclusions are at the heart of every story.
He lives in Worcestershire and is currently writing the next instalment in the Shell Cove Mysteries.
